Sessions last approximately one and a half hours. During this time, the child may experience a variety of activities through our mentoring program. Individuals will receive instruction in basic horsemanship, grooming, horseback riding, arts, crafts, gardening, etc… The one-on-one sessions will also provide participants the opportunity to help with small chores such as sweeping the barn, cleaning a stall or picking weeds in the garden. A balance of mentorship, activities, and chores gives each child a sense of belonging, value and ownership in the process.
